CATCA 2022 has ended

CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.


Most pre-recorded videos and Zoom LIVE recordings will be found right here on SCHED until April 30th. Keynotes are an exception.

Alberta Landscape In 1 Point Perspective

Step-by-step tutorial on how to teach 1 point perspective drawing to the young artists. The exciting landscape images of Alberta will come to life with ease and fun. Pastels and coloured pencils will be used to complete this project. The level of difficulty can be adjusted according to the grade level taught. All participants will be provided with handouts that can be used directly in their classrooms. Open to art and general teachers of grades 1- 9. These are the supplies for this session: A set of oil or chalk pastels
One sheet of construction paper (light beige/brown or light blue), approximately 9” x 12”
HB pencil
Eraser
