This session is for teachers and counsellors who wish to develop helping tools for themselves and their students. Participants will learn and apply the cognitive-behavioural techniques of locus of control, cost-benefit analysis using scales, the feared fantasy, the double-standard, the acceptance paradox, and the shame pie to themselves so that they can get a sense of how the techniques are intended to help. Participants will require a pencil and piece of paper to participate in the session; however, participants will not be expected to share what particular problems they are utilizing the techniques for.
