CATCA 2022 has ended

CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.


Most pre-recorded videos and Zoom LIVE recordings will be found right here on SCHED until April 30th. Keynotes are an exception.

Two teachers started a unique and innovative environmental club which inspired students to become involved in global affairs. Students also learned individual empowerment. We will share practical applications and activities that been tried successfully.

Rhonda is a retired teacher of 37 years. She taught students from kindergarten to adult in a variety of settings. She has used her love of learning to transition to the retired life.

Nadine is a retired teacher of 41 years. She taught English and CALM for most of those years. In the last few years, she and a colleague started a vibrant and influential Environmental club for their students. She believes that learning should be fun!
