CATCA 2022 has ended

CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.

Most pre-recorded videos and Zoom LIVE recordings will be found right here on SCHED until April 30th. Keynotes are an exception.

Mix Crayola crayons with watercolor paints to create a series of seasonal celebration cards. From Valentine’s Day to Easter, Mother’s Day and Christmas; this technique will be your go to favourite for many classroom projects! Learn how to craft basic shapes from your painted papers for collaging. Add some fun letters to complete your designs! Card making has never been so enjoyable!

Supplies for this session:
1 - box of Crayola crayons
1 - set of watercolor paints (any brand)
1 - round watercolor brush (size 7-12)
Water container
Glue stick
A very fine black pen such as an ultra fine sharpie or size 01 black micron pigma pen or PN black pigma pen.
1 - 9x12” piece of mixed media paper
A fine tip black sharpie
4 - 8.5x11” sheets of white cardstock
1 - 5x7” piece of 140lb. Watercolor paper
1 - 8.5x11” sheet of black cardstock
3 sheets of computer paper
NOTE: Delegates who have purchased the art kit for this class will also need a glue stick as there isn’t one in the art kit.
