CATCA 2022 has ended

CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.


Most pre-recorded videos and Zoom LIVE recordings will be found right here on SCHED until April 30th. Keynotes are an exception.

Court has been a full time Outdoor Education teacher in Calgary, Alberta for the past 13 years. Court is President for the ATA Specialist Council GEOEC (Global, Environmental & Outdoor Education Council). He is also on the Board of Directors for the Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) where he serves as the Director of the Prairies. Court is also a Field Leader Instructor for the OCC. Court was the recipient of the 2020 EECOM Award of Excellence – Outstanding Educator. His Outdoor Leadership program was recently named a 2021 Alberta Emerald Award Finalist. Court’s passion in student-led and experiential learning allows him to be out in the environment with his students in an outdoor classroom daily. Those hands-on experiences and inquiry-based learning allows Court to instil a greater understanding of indigenous and land-based knowledge into his students and others.
