CATCA 2022 has ended

CATCA recognizes that convention is situated on Treaty 7, South of Red Deer River the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina and Stoney Nakoda peoples, and that the North of Red Deer River Treaty 6, traditional Métis, Cree and Saulteaux territory. We honour the First Peoples who have lived here since time immemorial, and we give thanks for the land.


Most pre-recorded videos and Zoom LIVE recordings will be found right here on SCHED until April 30th. Keynotes are an exception.

Dean Pasiuk and Lee Caine have over 60 years educational experience working in Central Alberta Schools. During Dean’s 30 years as an educator, he has gone from classroom teacher to administrator with the Chinooks Edge School Division and the Red Deer Public School Division. Dean has been the Director of Education at the CACAC for the past four years. Lee has taught in the Red Deer Catholic School Division for over 30 years at the high school level. For 9 of those years, Lee worked as a high school counselor. Lee has been in his current role as Education Program Coordinator for the past three years. Together Dean and Lee are passionate about ensuring that the safety and well-being of the child is always put first. Their presentation will include interactive question answer so educators can discuss the difficult topic of abuse and trauma.
